Welcome to the PROJECT 1947 website.
Prominent members of the UFO research community have contributed to
Jan Aldrich's ongoing effort to document the origins of the modern
UFO phenomenon. Early support from the UFO
Research Coalition (UFORC), in particular CUFOS and
FUFOR, was invaluable.
Many individuals now continue to assist the research project, and the
work of several of them is on display on this website. These
researchers welcome feedback and new information, so please
contact them directly if you any have comments or material that you would
like to share with them.
Special words of gratitude for the ongoing transfer of documents and catalogues
into ascii go to our dedicated transcribers, led by Candy Peterson.
We thank Zac Elston for hosting the earliest incarnation of PROJECT 1947, and extend our
deepest appreciation to Pat Parrinello for his assistance in hosting our website for
over a decade before our recent move.
